On Saturday we used a rainy day to get from New Brunswick to Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. Alan wore the Norwegian flag pin given to him in 1989 by Lauren's Host Mom in Lillehammer, Rønnaug. She made me promise to get him to wear it every year on Syttende Mai, Norwegian Independence Day.
