A Little Geography Lesson
Someone dear to us has confessed to thinking that perhaps New Brunswick is part of Nova Scotia. No, it is a province. We are visiting the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and perhaps Prince Edward Island which, along with the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, make up the Maritimes. From the Portland, Maine area, we went "down East" along the Maine coast, then continued in the same basic Northeasterly direction which took us along the New Brunswick coast of the Bay of Fundy. Tomorrow we plan to go into Nova Scotia and head for Cape Breton Island, the NE part which you see jutting into the Cabot Strait. This area seems to be for people with Scottish ancestors what Decorah is for Norwegians. Alan and I each have Scottish grandparents, but they didn't come to this area. John Goodin has promised us old-time Scottish music, so off we go! (Map credit to Encarta)

Amazing how clueless some folks can be......they must be some small-town cowpokes from, say, the mountains of western Colo. Glad to see you straightened 'em out with your fine map.
