Everywhere we go, people tell us how unusually cold it is. That is good for us to hear, because there have been times when we wonder what we were thinking when we planned a May trip like this.We did pack layers as everyone advised. Here's what my layers looked like as I headed out for a walk a few days ago. I added some text to explain the layers. I'm happy to say that I have not put on the silk long underwear that I threw in at the last minute.
